Hi Friend,

These are extremely troublesome times we’re living in, globally and locally. In addition to the rapid addiction to screen scrolling we have political unrest that seems to be reaching all corners of the earth.

It’s very easy to feel angry…
I know that I most certainly find myself feeling angry sometimes.
When I feel angry, I often will feel a false sense of “control.”

Anger can feel energizing, even righteous, yet it often narrows my perception and hardens my nervous system. In that constriction, my capacity to respond wisely diminishes.

Here is a simple but thorough PDF download that may help you if you’re experiencing any anger:

Anger: Effects, Risks, and Regulation found PDFhere.

“Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned.”
Buddha

The Hard Wired

The Hard Wired is a term I use to represent people (authors, thought leaders…), subjects, places etc. that I tap into on a regular basis and most likely will go to see in person or already have…

Mark Warren Jacques

Every once in a while an individual comes into the studio to study with me that I find intriguing. Mark is most certainly one of those individuals. Kind, deep and authentic. He’s also a popular local Artist 🙂 ox Enjoy.

Between The Covers

Wicked weekly picks from my personal collection—from ancient texts to contemporary journalism, classical literature to obscure discoveries.

Emotional Anatomy: The Structure of Experience, Paperback – January 1, 1989
by Stanley Keleman (Author) Found on Amazon here.

* I’ve also included a brief PDF summarizing how Emotional Anatomy frames anger as a matter of bodily organization and self-regulation, rather than emotion alone. The PDF can be downloaded ↓ here.

One of my top all time 100 books to read before you die.
Especially if you’re a teacher that teaches movement.

I often refer to this book when analyzing student’s movement.
It’s one of the first books I received when I started my deeper trainings.
It’s never left my side. I hope you find it as useful regardless of whether or not you are a teacher. It’s a wonderful indirect study in sociological behavior patterns and how they are reflected in the body.

I’ve seen this symbol welcome thousands of students through my studio doors over the years. Three Aum symbols together in the Enso (円相) fashion—has a special place in my heart. A north star through transitions, through changes, through growth. If you’ve been part of this journey, you know what it means. If you’re just finding us, welcome.

The Triple Aum: The Buddha, The Dharma and The Sangha.
