Restore & Rebuild: A Therapeutic Yoga Journey
This deeply supportive, in-person class offers a unique blend of Restorative-Hatha Yoga designed to nourish your nervous system, release tension, and cultivate embodied awareness. Through therapeutic inner movement, mindful breath, and fully supported postures held for extended periods, you’ll experience a guided return to calm and recalibration.

Using props such as bolsters, blankets, and blocks, the body is gently supported in positions that invite stillness and spaciousness. You’ll also develop the ability to recognize which postures serve your system best—an essential skill that extends beyond the mat and into daily life.

Whether you’re seeking rest, recovery, or a reconnection with your inner rhythm, Restore & Rebuild offers a grounding and insightful journey back to yourself.

General Overview of
Postures & Sequences

Below is a curated selection of postures and
therapeutic-restorative sequences that will be explored
throughout the Restore & Rebuild series.
These examples offer a preview of the kinds of practices
you’ll experience during class—each designed to support healing,
regulation, and embodied awareness.

Gentle Neck Traction

The amount of traction brought to the neck and head can be easily adjusted according to each individual’s needs.

Strap Support

As you can see from the image, the strap is placed behind the ears,
so as to not hurt the ears and to fully support the head. Placement of the strap is extremely important.

Sample Set Up

This set up is excellent for stimulating the spine without bringing tension to the lumbar, hips, knees or feet.

The Set Up In Use

Quite often we would use a strap just above the knees, holding the legs together to prevent any tension in the lower back.

Set Up Variation

If you look closely, you can see that Kimberly has the rolled up blanket that is supporting her spine pulled out beyond her head, which means the very end of the blanket is located in a very specific location on her back, which is often needed.

Myofascial Release: Unlocking the Body’s Inner Pathways

Before settling into restorative postures, we begin with guided myofascial release techniques that target key trigger points along the body’s major fascial lines—what are often referred to as Anatomical Trains. This gentle yet effective work helps release chronic tension in the larger muscle groups, unbind the tissue networks that limit range of motion, and encourage a smoother, more intelligent flow of energy and breath throughout the body. By preparing the body in this way, the subsequent restorative practice becomes deeper, more accessible, and profoundly more nourishing.
