Many years ago, Krishna Das came to the Ashtanga Yoga Center in Encinitas.
Tim Miller introduce me to him at that time.
The next morning when I came in to the Yogashala I found KD’s wallet there, and it was packed full of all the money from the previous night’s concert.
As it turns out, it also had his airplane tickets to Europe for him and his girlfriend.
They needed the money and the tickets desperately,… they were leaving soon…
Back then, federal express overnight was just getting started and I made it my mission to make sure it happened.
Though we rarely speak these days, when we do, he’s kind enough to remember me…
