a newsletter excerpt.

Hi Friends,
Sometimes, the newsletter writes itself—it’s been almost two weeks of 12-14-hour days, three websites, two email migrations, and one very dusty ceiling.
If you’re wondering what I’ve been up to lately (besides sipping tea at ungodly hours and talking to insulation contractors about “breathable vapor barriers”), here’s the gist: I’ve been building.
YogaMandiram.com is undergoing a metamorphosis. It’s becoming a legacy site—a living archive of the 34 years of teaching, 4 yoga studios I’ve built, two yoga studios for other owners, the thousands of classes taught, and the many lives (including mine) reshaped by this practice. It’s also the doorway to our new, private studio—still alive, still breathing, just a bit more tucked in and intentional. You’ll see it all reflected there soon.
Meanwhile, Pranayama.com continues to stretch open. The site is maturing into its role as a global portal for breathwork, meditation, and the quieter sciences of self-study. And yes, everything is syncing up with our Teachable platform, where our courses, conversations, and digital community will soon have a proper home.
And because I like a good challenge, I decided this was the week to also switch our newsletter engine from Klaviyo to ConvertKit. (Why not rebuild the house while moving the plumbing, right?)
And yet—amidst the web builds and backend puzzles—something earthy is happening. At the Shala, we’ve been prepping the practice space for our gentle winter. A new layer of insulation. A thickening of silence. We’re getting ready for early morning sessions of Pranayama, mantra, and stillness with a few committed souls who’ve said yes to showing up before the sun does.
So this week’s 2Rt Mate Tuesday is less polished insight and more field report. The walls are humming, the sites are blooming, and I haven’t had a full night’s sleep in a long time.
But somehow, in the blur of code and incense, I feel closer than ever to what this was always about:
Building temples. Inside and out.
Let’s keep going.
